Fuffology

God knows how you pronounce the word "Fuffology" but we should jump up and down three times as Jeffrey Lewis' Fuff comics have now been iPhonised!

Simply put, it's the cool kids of Lush Comics that did it, and this time for free!

Why are we excited? Well, since the day Jeffrey drew us a very cute comic booklet at Leeds Fest few years ago, I became a fan.

One of the first pages you'll see, is this...

And then there's zombies!

Though I haven't had time to read any of it at all, thanks to the big load of SUPERSWEET, this page caught my eye...

Dad must have some good stories to tell...

If you're still wanting more, they also have Jeff's Worldwide Comix Scavenger Hunt Vol. 1 and 2 for sale (for only $0.99 each) and we will probably be getting them once we've reached the end of my iPhone's Fuff!

Oh Barnacles, Johnny Flynn meets Christian DeVita

This nu-folk lad deserves more hype than he's given and to prove it Johnny Flynn's teamed up with the artist Christian DeVita. WHO ON EARTH IS THIS DE VITA CHARACTER you say? This fellow has already racked up the position as lead storyboard artist for Wes Anderson's Fantastic Mr Fox and now strutting his stuff for Tim Burton's remake of his own film (ha!) Frankenweenie. But really, this video for 'Barnacled Worship' just made us fall in love with Johnny's charm a little bit further.

Free Track: Happy Birthday

OK, freebie time! It's been a bitch searching for anything about these guys. Apparently no website, and when you type "happy birthday" into Google Search, all you get is a picture of Homer Simpson and his pants... Any tips?

But we like them, and this song reminds me of summer 2006, when things were a LOT less complicated. So here you go, 'Too Shy' by Happy Birthday!

The Many Faces of Meric Long

Say cheese!!!

We LOVE finding out how voyeuristic our camcorder really is. Even when we acquire their consent, our trusty HD cam apparently snaps away while we are filming their reluctant answers. So who else did we find but about twenty odd photos of Meric Dodos unintentionally posing (amidst SVIIB and Blitzen Trapper), and he's smiling in all of them! Does that mean he'll stop running away from us now?

(CREEPIEST) ALBUM COVER OF THE DAY

David Bowie (The Times) "Balkan-inspired slice of craziness"

PROS: The blue-brown eyed wiser Bowie likes 'em, they've shared stages with Jeff Lewis and Owen Pallett, and they sing "collage" in a way that makes our Ed giggle way too much.
CONS: Puppets always remind me of the wife-beating endorsement Punch and Judy - that amount of high-pitched yelling and smacking should never be viewed ages 5 and under. They've also shared stages with Bradley from S Club 7.

KILL THOSE VITCHES!

After reliving the terrifying film adaptation of Roald Dahl's 'The Witches', not only did the incessant "GWANDMA" yelling set new emotional scars, what did catch my SUPERSWEET eye was the fabulous jewelry donned by that said grandma, and how our Sunday's Best line trumps it tenfold. But is it wrong to look like an aging Norwegian lady, who is a cigar-shmoking, nine-fingered, witch hunter? No? Fine, just me then.

Oh noes, Coco Sumner can't swim!?

Our Jury of The Month is the lovely Coco Sumner, aka the kid birthed out of Sting and Trudie Styler, but most recently known for her act I Blame Coco. While Robyn may have done more harm than good on her last release, her single 'Self-Machine' (out today) is a pretty catchy, well earned number and a sure threat to Marina's 'I Am Not A Robot'.

Check out the video. There's some serious staring contests going on in an empty abandoned pool. Everyone is rather too clothed for my liking in this weather.

Le Sexoflex

I got distracted by Le Sexoflex while watching Spain winning the once-every-four-year footie match! They are ones of those controversial US imports, but with all those taboo-ised lyrics, they show more bravado than them Glee folk. Check'em out if you dare.
